  • Holiday Report

    Just got back from Killington, Vermont; after a week's snowboarding frivolity. Being my first ever holiday (if you don't count the odd boozy weekend in Dublin, or a uni trip to Paris), I really didn't know what to expect, and so pretty much left those who had organised it (shake 'n' bake!!!) and my mates who got me on the trip in the first place to lead the way.

    two boards - that's just greedy...

    The boarding was excellent. Having only ever been on the indoor slope at Castleford, the fresh powder snow and never-ending runs helped me improve no end. Despite lightning storms and high winds for a couple of days, and some comedy bails, I'm scouring the cheap holidays so I can get away again!

    A combination of being led by my super eager boarding buddy, Rich, the excellent conditions and being too knackered and bloated by the masses of food in the evening, I didn't get many decent photos. Those that I did get are on my Facebook.

    All in all a great trip and has given me the bug to get out of this godforsaken country again - roll on payday!

  • still here...

    Having been busy with employment considerations, broken bikes and cars and family gubbins, here's a quick update on thewholly uninteresting world of Vince.

    broken back, here I come!Hitching a ride on my mate's apparent premature mid-life crisis, I've bought this bad boy to fill the relatively injury-free hole my holiday from jitsu has left.

    In a further bid to be hip, and down with the kids, i've also booked my place on a trip to Killington, Vermont, snowboarding with some old mates from school, whom I found through the all-powerful Facebook.

    To pay for all of this excess, I've done a bit of work too.
